# Teams

## What are Directual Teams for?

Teams is a great feature for:

* [Building an app with a team of developers](#building-an-app-in-a-team-of-developers)
* [Organizing your business as a development agency](#organising-business-as-a-development-agency).

### Building an app with a team of developers

If you need to add several developers to your app, you have to add them to your team first:

If you add a developer who doesn't have a Directual account, they will receive an invitation via emai.

Afterward, you need to link your app with your team (you must be the app owner). There's no need to apply for a [Sandbox plan](/teams/sandbox-apps.md) for the app. Lastly, add the developers:

As soon as a developer is added to the team, they will have access to it through their Directual account.

If you ever need to change the app's team, you'll first have to remove all the developers.

### Managing Teams

#### Creating a Team

To create a Team, simply click the \[+] button located on the left side of the screen.

#### Team Member Roles

Within the team, there are three distinct roles:

* **Owner:** The owner pays for the team and has the authority to update the team, add sandboxes, and manage team members (add or remove them)
* **Admin:** Admins can add sandbox-apps and manage developers by adding or removing them.
* **Developer:** Developers are able to participate in the team's apps.
